Dr Kevin Connolly

Dr. Kevin Connolly is a retired Paediatrician. Kevin has developed Immunisation Training Programme. Member of NIAC (National Immunisation Advisory Committee Ireland) on which he chairs the Paediatric sub-committee. Kevin is a member of the Advisory Committee for Human Medicines of the Irish Medicines Board and the Irish Representative on the Paediatric Committee of the European Medicines Committee. Kevin is Medical Director of i4Life since it’s inception, and has worked in a shanty town in Zambia for short periods 2-3 times per year since 2010.

Voluntary Director of i4Life CHS

Carmel currently works with a progressive and dynamic IVF unit based in Galway City where her specialties include ultrasound scanning, venepuncture and co-ordination of Client care. Working with Mothers and their partners, Carmel is committed to Health Education including the promotion of vaccinations in the Infant.

Dr. Mary Fitzgerald – Cunningham

Dr. Mary Fitzgerald Cunningham is a Senior Medical Officer working in Galway Community Services with HSE West, Mary has 30 years’ experience in clinical practice mainly in child health, primary care and child protection. Mary has a diplomas in child health and obstetrics( RCPI and RCSI Ireland). A Masters Degree in Public health From UCD, 1991 and an advanced Diploma in Child Protection Welfare from the University of Dublin in 1996 and obtained qualifications in courses in the medical evaluation in child protection, child development assessment at Great Ormond Street Hospital (2004) and Health Protection/Management of Outbreaks (University of Bristol ,2004).

Joan began working as an Administrator with i4Life since 2012. Joan has a background in Administration from the private sector. As an Administrator, Joan supports and assists the i4Life Team with the day to day office administration duties. Joan has now incorporated the role of the Company Secretary as part of her duties.

Grace has a BA degree in Applied Social Studies and she works part-time with adults with intellectual disabilities since 2004 in Tuam, Co. Galway. She supports i4life on a voluntary basis with office administration.

Sinead O’Mahony
Voluntary Nutrition Advisor i4Life

Sinead is a Registered Dietitian with an MSc in Public Health and Health Promotion from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). Sinead has worked in regulatory, clinical, research and humanitarian nutrition for ten years. Sinead currently works for the Food Safety Authority of Ireland in the Public Health Nutrition Team. Prior to this Sinead worked as a Nutrition Manager and Advisor with Concern Worldwide and GOAL Global. During this time Sinead worked in both humanitarian and development nutrition sensitive and specific programme across East Africa, the Middle East and Central America. Sinead has a particular interest in programming to address the underlying determinants of malnutrition to address the root causes as well as providing high quality services for the identification and management of acute malnutrition across all vulnerable group’s including infants, young children, children, pregnant and breastfeeding women and the elderly. Sinead joined i4Life in 2018 as a voluntary Nutrition Advisor and supported i4Life in securing a significant grant form Irish Aid.
Sally Bell Cross

Sally Bell-Cross, Clinical Nutritionist RNutr
Country Director

Sally is an internationally experienced consultant clinical nutritionist. . She is registered with the governing body Nutrition Association Australia, as well as the Nutrition Association Zambia. Sally received her Masters in Public health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Health.

Sally has experience across the public, private and NGO health sector in Zambia- with a special interest in community nutrition. She has deep interests, and has academically pursued Sustainable Agriculture mythologies, as relates to Nutrition. Sally has also worked alongside and with NGOs (Save the children, Red Cross) in eastern Africa on school feeding/supplementary feeding programs.

Sally has worked for I4L for over five years in project management steering the Zambian country focus and strategy, resulting in her role as country director in 2023.

Aileen graduated from DCU with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Global Business in 2017. Having lived and worked in Paris and Dublin, Aileen is now based in London working for Gartner as an Account Executive, supporting a number of organisations globally including some from the Charity Sector.

Eithna has a Bachelor degree (BE) in Civil Engineering from NUI Galway. She has worked in both the public and private sector. Currently she is a stay at home mum. She supports i4Life on a voluntary basis with office administration.

Volunteer, Social Media

Orla works in the field of digital marketing having obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Limerick and an MSc in Digital Marketing from Liverpool John Moores University. She has worked in a locally based marketing agency in Galway for the last two years and is vastly experienced in SEO, content creation, digital strategy, analysis & reporting. As a social media volunteer to i4Life, Orla supports the planning, posting and scheduling of i4Lifes social media content.

Monica Grepioni
University of Bologna – i4Life Intern

Currently attending a Master’s Degree in Intercultural Communication for Enterprises and Organizations and with previous studies in Arabic and English translation, I have always had a deep interest in promoting and facilitating a reciprocal understanding between human beings, especially children which are in need to be heard.

The internship with i4Life happened unexpectedly and it represents a great opportunity to be part of a team keen on fundamental rights of children and whose actions have the potential to, step by step, create better opportunities for the human kind.

Shauna Walsh

Shauna graduated from Birmingham City University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Diagnostic Radiography. Since then, Shauna completed a number of professional certificates along with an Advanced Diploma in Leadership & Management from University College Dublin. With a keen interest in health promotion and human rights, Shauna is currently studying a Masters Degree in Public Health (International) from University of Limerick. Shauna, a Clinical Specialist Radiographer with the HSE, has enjoyed travelling to both Zambia and Greece during her time with i4Life.

Mags Flynn
Volunteer – Finance.

Mags has worked for over twenty-five years in various accounting roles, managing client services departments. She has also worked in the Charity Sector, with responsibility for governance, management and statutory reporting to internal and external stakeholders. She is currently working with Ian & John Gavin Accountancy practice in Mullingar, providing payroll, accountancy & taxation advice to client. Mags also provides training & support to Start your own Business courses in the Midlands.

Sandra works in our Headford office and supports the coordination of the day-to-day international operations of i4Life. Sandra has over 15 years management experience and holds a BA in English and Psychology. She recently completed a HDip in Computers where she graduated with First Class Honours.

Mary volunteers weekly in our Co.Galway office where she leads creative projects such as our Christmas Cards and Wildflower Seeds fundraising ventures. Mary is also a part of our administration group and is an invaluable part of the i4Life team.

Donn O'Lochlainn web designer

Donn O'Lochlainn
Volunteer – Technical Advisor

Donn has worked in sales and marketing roles for 13+ years and more recently done freelance web design, digital marketing and campaign management work. He currently works in a software implementation company in Dublin and helps out the i4life team with their website requirements.

Donn is based in County Wicklow.
